Abstract. To identify the races of Tilletia (the agent of common bunt of wheat) in Lorestan province, a study performed on collected wheat samples from different areas of Lorestan province in 2009-2010. Ten isolates from each township were selected and among them, the isolates that had the most percents of germination were selected and inoculated on differential genotypes. Then these genotypes were planted. After the plant maturation stage, the races of L19, T1 and T2 were identified by calculating the percent of the infected spiks and using the identification key for available races. The dominant species of common bunt in Noorabad, Doorod and Aleshtar townships was T.caries, but that was T.leavis in Koohdasht, Boroujerd and Khoramabad townships. The highest infection percent was occurred on Zagros line in koohdasht, Boroujerd and Aleshtar townships and the Sardary line had the highest infection percent in Doroud and Noorabad townships. The most percent of infection In Khoramabad thownship was occurred on Koohdasht line.
