Abstract. This paper presents an analytical review of the influence of wind speed on the uniformity of mineral fertilizer distribution and the possibilities for its compensation using the WindControl system. The analysis is based on scientific literature, technical documentation, and publicly available manufacturer data and illustrations related to the operation of the ArgusTwin and WindControl systems. The integration of the system with ISOBUS and CAN communication technologies is examined, along with its operating principle, in which wind speed and direction data are used for automatic adjustment of the fertilizer spreader parameters. A comparative interpretation of the published data indicates that, without the WindControl system activated, coverage quality deteriorates at wind speeds above approximately 1.5 m/s, whereas with the system in operation, a more stable distribution is maintained at wind speeds of up to about 4.5-5 m/s. The synthesized findings suggest that WindControl has the potential to improve fertilization accuracy and extend the operational range under unfavorable wind conditions.
