Abstract. Current trends in research and in the production of automated milking systems (AMS) aim at improving the milking process of cows, as well as improving animal welfare. The present article proposes the use of a new method to control an electronic pulsation system for milking machines, with automatic self-regulation of frequency parameters, as function of the arterial pulse of the cow. The theoretical platform of the idea of automatic self-regulation is related to the functional synchronization of the pulsation parameters of the milking units to the cardiovascular dynamics of lactating cows. A diagram of the logical relationship for synchronization of pulsation systems with cardiovascular dynamics is presented. A system for automatic self-regulation of an electronic pulsation system for milking machine as function of cardiovascular rhythm is proposed. The described elements are the main elements of the system related to the measurement of the cardiovascular rhythm of the animal and the control of the milking units.
