Abstract. Experimental research has been made of volt – ampere characteristic of a photovoltaic panel as a function of solar radiation. The main electrical parameters of the panel are determined, referring to obtaining the maximum amount of energy at the output. For simulation research of the area with maximum power (MPPT), the equivalent substitution scheme in the Multisim programming environment, created by the authors, has been used. A comparative analysis of the results of the experimental and simulation studies has been made. The main output parameters of the photovoltaic panel necessary for design of a switching power supply for electronic equipment are determined.
